We are Melanie & Charlotte, two sisters and partners in crime! Our passion for skincare began when we were little. We used to admire our mom’s collection of beautiful jars and tubes, dreaming of having a collection like that ourselves one day. But as soon as we were finally “old” enough to start using skincare products, the search began. Which products really work? What does my skin need? We later saw those same questions being asked by Fleur, the girl we used to babysit, and her friends. They were asking exactly the same questions we once did, looking for products that work without disrupting the skin.

Now that we are in our twenties ourselves, we realize that it’s not just teenagers who struggle with this question. We are inundated with a sea of products, and you often see a six-step routine presented as the norm. We, too, were still looking for the essentials: simple products that really work and do what they are supposed to do, without any fuss.

And so Labo Mérilo was born. A skincare brand that offers products that are safe for young people from puberty onwards, but which are also perfect for those looking for a simple, effective routine without disrupting the skin barrier.

Melanie is a pharmacist and pursued a specialised degree in Cosmetic Sciences, where she learned everything about the science behind skincare. Armed with that knowledge, she dove into the lab and developed Labo Mérilo’s very first products together with a Belgian lab. Her philosophy? Keeping it simple. No unnecessary ingredients or complicated routines, just gentle and effective formulas that give your young skin exactly what it needs.
